In partnership with African nationals, the Cross of Light Diamond Foundation works to attack the deep injustice of human trafficking and the dangerous superstitions that keep widows and orphans bound in Africa.
Learn more about human trafficking from our ministry partners: The Believers Ministry.

First, we seek to educate Africans through christian seminars, public service announcements, plays, dance and film. The ongoing practice of human trafficking and endentured servitude perpetuates the spread of AIDS is in large part due to their complex belief systems which create fear and superstition.
Second, we work with church leaders to distribute funds and run programs to help educate their communities about biblical truths that empower women and value orphans and widows.
These include:
- providing school fees to orphans.
- Providing monetary assistance to widows and church leaders through microfinace loans and donations.
Click the picture to view the design and cutting process of the Cross of Light Diamond (using cubic zirconia). This machine does not cut real diamonds. The Cross of Light Diamond is only cut by hand.
Our future projects involve launching semi-automatic gem cutting facilities throughout Africa. Many African nations are restricting the export of rough gemstones. It is our desire to create factories for graduate orphans, widows and widowers to learn the art of gem cutting. These semi-automatic machines will revolutionize the cutting industry and produce symmetrical cuts that are highly valued throughout the world.
The Cross of Light Diamond foundation is a non-profit organization helping orphans and widows throughout the world. The foundation began in 2007, by Rachel Heine and her father Arlan Abel, a certified gemologist with the Gemological Association of Great Britain, and jewelry store owner since 1977. Arlan is also the designer of the Cross of Light Diamond. He has assigned the royalties of the Cross of Light Diamond to the Foundation.
